Our Mission is
to glorify God by helping more people know and serve Him.
Our church has quite a history in Erie beginning in 1888. Bethel is Hebrew for “God’s House.” We love the idea, not because we like our building, but because the Bible says that people are stones that God fits together to make His dwelling place (Ephesians 2:19-21).
We believe that, as God’s house, our mission is to glorify God by helping more people know and serve Him. In other words, help them become a part of His house. We see that this will happen as each person keeps taking steps to better Connect to God and each other, to Grow spiritually, and to Serve others and Reach out to even more people. At Bethel, we’re all taking those steps together.
